BEES-R-US is a professional beekeeping E-commerce business, led by long-standing beekeeper Patrick K Murfet. With more than 24 years of practical experience in apiculture, Patrick brings deep knowledge, innovation, and a genuine love for bees to every aspect of the business.

Our Story:
Patrick has been a respected figure in British beekeeping for over two decades. He served as Director of Mann Lake UK Ltd from 2014 and previously led Bee Equipment Ltd, helping establish one of the UK’s largest suppliers of beekeeping equipment and services.
His beekeeping journey began from humble roots, inspired by nature and guided by a desire to learn from the best. Over the years, Patrick has studied queen rearing, grafting, artificial insemination, and bee health with some of the UK’s most knowledgeable apiarists and entomologists.
Inspired by the natural world, Patrick transitioned from a successful initial career to dedicating himself entirely to professional beekeeping. He attained the BBKA General Husbandry certification and rigorously trained in advanced apiculture techniques, including queen-rearing, grafting, and microscopy.
A true entrepreneur, Patrick went on to build and expand several successful ventures within the industry — from product development to large-scale colony management — and his designs continue to influence beekeeping equipment worldwide.
He has also contributed to the beekeeping community through publishing and events, launching Bees and Other Pollinators magazine and participating in BeeTradex, one of the UK’s leading beekeeping exhibitions. Later this became The British Beekeeping Show in Stoneleigh, of which Patrick owned and ran.
After significant business challenges in 2024, Patrick chose to return to his roots in 2025, focusing once again on raising bees and queens of exceptional quality. BEES-R-US is the result: a business dedicated to excellence, transparency, and the advancement of British beekeeping.
